How to Launch PS2 Boot Disk

A PS2 boot disk allows you to run games off of the PS2's hard drive. This means you can save the PS2's laser and disk drive mechanism by using software to load PS2 ISO files. Using a PS2 boot disk is very similar to that of a regular PS2 game disk, because the disks are pressed and not burned. Once the disk boots up, your PS2 will be unlocked to many new features.

Instructions

      Remove any disk you may have in your PlayStation 2 game console. Insert the PS2 boot disk into the PS2 optical disk drive.

      Select the disk from the PlayStation 2 main menu. The PS2 boot disk will load up and you will be brought to the HDLoader main menu.

    • 3

      Select "Play" to play games off of your hard drive, "Install" to install a game to the hard drive or "Exit" to be brought back to the PS2 main menu.
