How to Play Games on Your Playstation 2 Hard Drive

If you want to load your Playstation with all your games rather than switching disks back and forth with every game you want to play, the process is fairly simple. With a hard drive and few other tools you can rip all your games to the hard drive and forget about disk swapping. Plus, the hard drive loads the game faster than the Playstation 2 laser disc.

USBextreme disc
Hard drive
Network card

Instructions

  Plug your hard drive into your computer and turn on your computer. Place the game disc that you want to copy into the computer's disc drive. Load up the USBextreme Playstation ripping software and click rip.

  Wait for the program to transfer your entire disc. This can take some time, depending on the size of the game disc. Turn off the computer once the file or files are loaded onto the hard drive. Remove the hard drive and mount it on the back of the network card.

  Slide the network card onto the back of the Playstation 2. Twist the thumb screws on to secure the drive in the game console. Insert the USBextreme disc or HDextreme disc and wait for the program to load.

  Choose the game and load it. All the files should load. You're ready to play any of thegames, with no disk needed.
