Place a sheet of newspaper on a work surface. Place the cardboard vertically on the newspaper. Place the credit card vertically on the cardboard. Line up the left side and bottom of the credit card with the left side and bottom of the cardboard.
Cut across the top of the credit card with a utility knife, from left to right. Cut down the right side of the credit card, starting at the upper right side. Place the credit card aside.
Pull off the cut piece of cardboard. Discard the rest of the cardboard properly.
Place the cut piece of cardboard vertically on the newspaper. Tape the right side and bottom of the cardboard with strips of cellophane tape.
Measure 1-1/2 inches upward from the lower left corner of the cardboard. Make a dot with the pencil. Measure across 1 inch toward the right side of the cardboard. Make a dot with the pencil. Measure across the length again, making a dot with the pencil at 1/4-inch and 3/4-inch.
Draw a line from the dot at the left side of the cardboard to the dot that you made at 1 inch. Cut through the line with the blade of the utility knife.
Draw a line straight up from the end of the cut in the cardboard to the top. Cut through the line with the blade of the utility knife.
Remove the backwards "L" that you cut out from the cardboard. Dispose of the cut piece of cardboard in the trash.
Make a 1/2-inch vertical slit down in each of the two dots on the left side of the cardboard. Remove the cellophane tape.
