How to Link a PlayStation 2 Slim to a PlayStation 2 Slim

If you enjoy playing your PlayStation 2 games online, but would like to play them privately with your friends, the PlayStation 2 can be connected to other PlayStation 2 consoles for LAN (Local Area Network) play. While the original PlayStation 2 used a Sony iLink cable to set up a LAN, the PlayStation 2 Slim can achieve the same functionality with a CAT5 crossover cable.

Things You'll Need

  • Two PlayStation 2 Consoles
  • CAT5 Crossover Cable (Looks nearly identical to a standard CAT-5 cable, but will be labeled on the package)
  • PlayStation 2 startup disk
