How to Beat Maester Seymore in Final Fantasy X Project

Maester Seymour Guado is one of the principal antagonists in the video game "Final Fantasy X," released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. He is a powerful foe, partially because he shares the player character's ability to summon a powerful ally: the Aeon Anima. The battle with Maester Seymour is arguably the most difficult at that point in the game, and may indeed be the first time many players see the "Game Over" screen. However, with care and preparation, he can be defeated.

Instructions

- 1
  Steal the Hi Potions from Seymour's guards. Riku is the best character to perform this task.

  Kill the guards. Without the Hi Potions they will no longer be able to regenerate health.

  Add Yuna to your party.

  Cast Haste and all four of Yuna's Nul spells. These will help protect your party from magic throughout the battle.

  Summon the Aeon Shiva when Seymour summons his Aeon Anima.

  Heal yourself with the Blizzara spell when necessary.
- 7
  Attack Anima with the Diamond Dust ability when it becomes available.
- 8
  Finish Anima off with normal attacks if Shiva dies.
- 9
  Attack Seymour directly. The immunities from Yuna's Nul spells should protect you from Seymour's magic long enough to kill him.
