EA Sports released "F1 Championship Season 2000" for PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Color, PC, and Macintosh in December of 2000. Also developed by EA Sports, "Championship Season 2000" is rated suitable for gamers of all ages. "Championship Season 2000" allows players the opportunity to simulate F1 races using real life drivers and actual tracks from the 2000 season. Players can try their hand at one race or a series of races. The game also allows players to compete against one another in head-to-head races. Before each race, players can alter the settings to allow for different rules and weather conditions.

Electronic Arts released "F1 2001" for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC in October of 2001. "F1 2001" was created by EA Sports and is rated appropriate for players of all ages. "F1 2001" gives players control over what types of races they compete in. Players can choose a specific racer and try to finish the entire 2001 season, or they can test out each of the game's tracks for a single lap or race. In multiplayer mode, players can compete against friends and computer players at the same time. In total, 22 racers can be involved in the same competition.

Electronic Arts released "F1 Career Challenge" for PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and Xbox in June of 2003. The game was also developed by Electronic Arts, and it was given a rating of suitable for all players. While most F1 games for PlayStation 2 only allow players to attempt one full season as a real driver, "F1 Career Challenge" lets gamers try up to four years in a racer's career. Players can even choose which racing team their driver joins, and they must then meet goals set by the team throughout the season. The length of each race in the game varies, as many tracks require less laps than others.
