How to Setup a Keyboard & Mouse for the PS2

Sony's Playstation 2 is the first console by Sony that features massive multiplayer online (MMO) games for those with an Internet connection. Also, the console allows the use a USB keyboard and mouse, as long as the game allows it, so players can chat and communicate with the speed of a full-size keyboard. Almost any USB keyboard or mouse is compatible with the console, and is functional within just a few seconds of setting up.

Instructions

  Plug in your keyboard and/or mouse into the USB sockets found on the front and back of the console.

  Insert a disc that allows keyboards or mouses to be used in the game. Once you close the disc tray, the console should start the disc automatically.

  Go the options screen of the loaded game and set your controller type to allow the keyboard and mouse. Most games only allow the keyboard, but allow you to use both the keyboard and controller.
