How to Make a PS2 Boot Disc

PS2 boot discs allow users to play DVD backups and boot damaged discs that fail to load in your Sony device. You can make a PS2 boot disc by downloading the proper software to burn boot files to a disc. Use the PS2 boot disc to play damaged discs like they were new again on your PS2 system.

      Download a ISO burn program. Double-click the program once it has finished downloading to open it. Follow the step-by-step instructions to install the ISO program and reboot your system. Place the damaged PS2 disc into your DVD burner and click "Read to Image File" in the ISO program menu. Choose a destination folder and title and click "OK" to create the backup ISO file.

      Press eject to remove the PS2 disc from the drive. Insert a DVD+R disc and close the tray. Click "Write Image File" in the ISO program to create the PS2 boot disc. Select a title for the disc and click "OK" to burn the PS2 ISO. Take your PS2 boot disc from the tray once it has burned and ejected.

      Test the PS2 boot disc in your Sony system. Turn on your PS2 system and insert the PS2 boot disc. Wait for the disc to load and click "Play." Navigate the disc to make sure all data was burned correctly.
