How to Connect Your PS2 to the Internet Via a WiFi Laptop

If you play games online with a Playstation 2, you are usually tethered to your modem, and this means that you are limited by the length of the network cable that connects the two. To reduce the clutter and to enable your Playstation 2 mobile to be used in any room of the house, you can use your Wi-Fi-capable laptop as a hub through which the Playstation is able to connect to the Internet. As long as the laptop is able to pick up a wireless signal, you can play the PS2 almost anywhere you like.

Things You'll Need

  • Playstation 2 (PS2) console with network adapter installed
  • Network Access CD for PS2
  • Laptop with both an ethernet port and Wi-Fi capability
  • Windows XP or Server 2003 installed on laptop
  • CATS crossover cable
  • TV or monitor that you use to play PS2 games
