Confirm that your laptop has connection to a wireless network, and is able to access the Internet. Plug one end of the crossover cable into the PS2 network port, then plug the other end into the laptop's ethernet port.
Start the PS2 by pressing the power button. Insert the Network Access CD and wait for the system to power up. Turn on the television or monitor that the PS2 is plugged into and ensure that the Network Access CD appears as an option to select.
Click the "Start" button on the laptop. Point to "My Network Places" and right-click on the words. Select "Properties" from the menu that appears. In the "Network Connections" window that opens, select both the LAN (Local Area Network) and wireless networks by pressing the "Shift" or "Ctrl" key. Right-click on either of the icons and click "Bridge Connections."
Confirm that your laptop is still able to connect to the Internet by opening a browser window and navigating to a page. Using the PS2 controller, press the "X" button to select the Network Access CD on the opening screen. Follow the on-screen instructions that appear.
