How to Connect a PS2 to a PC Using a TV Tuner

To connect the Sony PlayStation 2 to a computer, you must have a television tuner installed. This tuner works just like the tuner on your television and not only allows you to connect outside video game equipment to the system but also a television source, such as a cable, satellite or antenna hook-up. Once you have the PS2 connected to the computer, it is possible to use your PC to play the video game.

Things You'll Need

RCA audio/video cables
TV tuner card

Instructions

  Connect the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" port on the rear of the PS2.

  Insert the opposite end of the cables into the "Video In" ports on the television tuner card.

  Power on the PS2 gaming system and launch the software that came with the TV tuner card. This is either done by double-clicking the desktop icon or by choosing the TV software tab from the "Start" menu.

  Press "Start" on your PS2 controller and the video game will be displayed on your computer monitor&'s screen.
