Motocross Mania 3
Developed by video game publisher 2K Games and released for the PS2 gaming system in April 2005, Motocross Mania 3 allows gamers to assume the role of a dirt bike racer while playing through single race modes and multiplayer modes as well. Racing in multiple dirt tracks against multiple computer opponents in both indoor and outdoor muddy courses, the player can choose from a number of different dirt bikes while trying to fend off other racers to finish in first place. After successfully completing as the Number 1 finisher in the first series of championship races, the player can advance in the game, unlocking new dirt racing courses to compete in.
MX Unleashed
Released in April 2004 for PS2 game owners, MX Unleashed was designed by Rainbow Studios to offer gamers the chance to compete in both single dirt bike racing modes as well as freestyle modes. While taking their dirt bikes through muddy and watery dirt track courses, the player will compete against six other opponents controlled by the game's artificial intelligence in order to receive a good enough score to open up all dirt bike racing tracks available in the game.
Freestyle Metal X
Developed for the PS2 gaming system by Midway Games and released in June 2003, Freestyle Metal X is a dirt bike game primarily focused on trick-riding motorcycle skills. As the gamer gets more acclimated to this game's control scheme, he will need to take his dirt bike into the air and perform a series of stunts in order to get a good score as the game gets progressively harder. While racing other bikers in muddy race course environments, the player will also need to accelerate at great speeds to pass the finish line before his/her opponents.
Freekstyle
Designed by EA Sports in order to bring PS2 gamers a realistic-looking dirt bike racing game experience that includes both championship and freestyle modes, Freekstyle was released in 2002. Featuring dirt racing courses that contain moving boulders racers must avoid in order to finish in first place, Freekstyle also allows the PS2 gamer to taunt other dirt bike racers during single-course and championship racing game modes.
