System Cleaning
Disconnect the PS2 from all cords, outlets and controllers.
Place the console onto a flat surface.
Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the eight screws located on the backside of the PS2.
Carefully remove the PS2 casing.
Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the top of the disc tray.
Use your tweezers to remove any large foreign buildups.
Use your can of compressed air to blow away any remaining dust from the system components.
Replace the disc tray using your Phillips-head screwdriver.
Replace the PS2 casing using your Phillips-head screwdriver.
Attempt to play the disc.
Disc Cleaning
View the underside of the game disc you are attempting to play. Look for any deep scratches or dirt smudges. If the disc features deep scratches, you will need to buy a replacement.
Spray the CD-ROM-cleaning solution onto the bottom of the disc.
Use the light cloth to wipe the disc clean. Wipe from the center of the disc outward in a straight line.
Replace the disc into the PS2 and attempt to play.
