How to Connect a PS2 Slim Online

Sony first introduced its PlayStation 2 Slimline in 2004. The new design featured a thinner, sleeker console and an added Ethernet port. Prior to the addition of the port, gamers needed a PS2 network adapter to get online. The PS2 Slim's Ethernet port makes getting online a quick and easy process.

Instructions

      Turn off your PS2 and unplug it from its power source.

      Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the back on your PS2 slim.

      Unplug your modem or router from its power source.

    • 4

      Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an Ethernet port on the back of your modem or router.

      Connect your modem or router back to its power source.

    • 6

      Wait roughly 2 minutes while your modem or router establishes an Internet connection.

    • 7

      Power on your PS2 Slim.
