"Cabela&'s Deer Hunt: 2004 Season"
Sand Grain Studios developed a deer hunting game called “Cabela’s Deer Hunt: 2004 Season” in August 2003 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Players are given a practice mode to learn the shooting controls and improve their technique before embarking on a career as a hunter. “2004 Season” features multiple difficulty levels to provide a challenge for experienced players, and success depends largely on actual hunting techniques and patience. Players must also make sure that deer do not see, hear or smell them in order to take the animal by surprise while hunting.
"Cabela&'s Dangerous Hunts 2"
Activision Value released “Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2” for PlayStation 2, PC, Nintendo GameCube and Xbox in November 2005. “Dangerous Hunts 2” challenges hunters to hunt many different types of animal including deer. Rather than depict casual hunting, the game gives hunters objectives centered on killing impressive specimens or protecting other humans from dangerous animals. The levels of “Dangerous Hunts 2” take place in countries all over the world, which presents players with new environments.
"Cabela&'s Trophy Bucks"
“Cabela’s Trophy Bucks” was created by Sand Grain Studios and released in September 2007 for PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. The goal in “Trophy Bucks” is to kill the deer with the highest star ratings. A star rating of one is the lowest, while five is the highest. Players can use their controllers to pinpoint where deer are in the game’s environment, and there are plenty of obstacles to use as shields from the prey.
"Deer Hunter"
Created by Coresoft and released by Atari, “Deer Hunter” came out for PlayStation 2, Game Boy Color, PC and Macintosh in December 2003. Players are placed in the woods with the objective of killing deer and accumulating points, though proper techniques must be used to increase the odds of a successful trip. Players are able to control their foot speed by walking or running, and players can also crouch low to keep out of sight. To give players variable difficulty, “Deer Hunter” features modes with and without sight aids on the guns.
