PlayStation 2 offers many construction games for those with an imagination to build. Construction games are interactive games that allow you to create cities, parks, roller coasters and even play in animated lands that you create. These games have tutorials to teach you how to get started building.

Tonka Construction Site
- "Tonka Construction Site" for PS2 is geared toward younger children. The game allows you to play as 1 of 12 heavy-duty Tonka Trucks. The object of the game is to help Tonka Joe build the city by paving roads, designing resorts and discovering valuables. You can start all over by using one of the trucks to demolish your city. The game is rated E for everyone.
Metropolismania
- The object of “Metropolismania,” a city-building game for the PS 2 platform, is to create each of five levels and populate them with people. The game also deals with problems such as gangs and aliens. You are in charge of the in-game characters. Each one has a happy meter that you have to monitor to make it to the next level. The game rating is T for teens.
Theme Park Roller Coaster
- “Theme Park Roller Coaster” allows you to build your own amusement park, complete with a roller coaster you design yourself. Once your rides are complete, you can make yourself a guest in the park and ride the rides. You control the cost to get in and the types of concessions that you will offer. There are several different worlds for you to build parks on and different rides for you to explore.
