How to Use a PS2 Flash Drive

The Sony PlayStation 2 has two USB ports on the front of the system. The ports were placed onto the system to add functionality to the games. However, in 2010 only tthree--"Gran Turismo 4," "Tourist Trophy" and "SOCOM 3"--use it, either to save and share pictures of their cars and motorcycles using the "Photo Mode" or to upload maps.

      Plug the USB drive into a USB port.

      Turn the system on by pressing the power button.

      Download photos. Games such as "Gran Turismo 4" and "Tourist Trophy" have an in-game photo mode that allows you to save pictures of your vehicles onto your flash drive.

      Upload maps and add-ons onto games. In "SOCOM 3," new maps are available by downloading them off the Internet and installing them through a USB flash drive.
