Things You'll Need
Instructions
Study computer science, audio engineering, art or business management at a college or university. A computer science degree helps you understand the coding aspect of a PS2 game. An audio engineering degree helps you make sound effects for games. An art degree allows you to make 3D models and design that are essential for PS2 games. Business management provides you with the knowledge on how to run a business.
Come up with an idea. Decide on how your game will play, what it will look like and how it will sound.
Work with computer programmers. Find people with previous work experience in game programming. If you can, find people who have background in the kind of game you are going to make.
Hire 3D modelers to build the digital world of your game. Find people with previous experience that matches your game as much as possible.
Find a team of audio engineers and composers to create the sound effects and music for the game. Make sure you find workers that will be able to make the effects and music needed for your game. Hiring an operatic composer for a football game may not be a good idea.
Design the game on a PS2 development kit. This is the official kit that Sony hands out to build PS2 games on. If your game works on the kit, it will work in a standard PS2.
Build the game. This will take a year or longer depending on the scope and size of the game.
