How to Install PS2 to a Satellite Dish

The Sony Playstation 2 (PS2), like most sixth-generation gaming consoles, can be connected to a television through RCA cables or coaxial cables, the same cables used by DVD players and satellite receiver boxes. If your TV does not have enough RCA ports to accommodate your various devices, you can still connect your PS2 to your TV. As long as you have the proper PS2 cable, the process is easy.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the PS2 end of your PS2 RF cable to the port on the back of your PS2.

    • 2

Connect the coaxial end of this cable to the "cable in" coaxial port on your television.

    • 3

Connect one end of your coaxial cable to the "Out to TV" coaxial port on your satellite receiver box.

    • 4

Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the coaxial cable port on your PS2's RF cable. Make sure the switch on your PS2 RF cable is set to channel 4.

    • 5

Turn on your TV, satellite receiver box, and PS2. Setting your television to channel 3 should display the signal from your satellite, and channel 4 should display your PS2's visual signal.
