Instructions
Remove the expansion bay cover on the back of the PS2. The cover is on the top left of the PS2 if you are looking at it from the back. Pull the tab on the top of the cover down to remove it.
Attach the lock tabs to each side of the hard drive, using the screw holes on each side of the hard drive where the lock tabs snap into place.
Insert the connector on the bottom of the network adapter into the slots on the back of the hard drive, and push in firmly to secure it.
Insert the hard drive and network adapter into the expansion bay of the PS2. Slide the hard drive end into the expansion bay first, holding the bottom for support, then slide it in until the network adapter is flush against the PS2 body.
Use a penny to turn the mounting screws in the bottom left and right corners of the network adapter clockwise (the side facing you after inserting the adapter into the PS2).
Turn on the PS2 and insert the HDD utility disc into the disc drive.
Press "X," then select "Format HDD" and press "X" again.
Scroll through the instructions for formatting by pressing the right arrow twice, then press "X" twice to format the hard drive. Once the installation is finished, the hard drive is ready for use.
