How to Play Two Players on Area 51 for Playstation 2

"Area 51" is a video game that has gamers portray a HAZMAT agent who encounters aliens at the fabled Area 51 test base in Nevada. Available on the PlayStation 2, as well as Xbox and PC, the game features a two player split screen mode where you and a friend fight in a one on one death match. There is no co-op mode, so this is the only way to play with two players.

  Connect two DualShock 2 controllers to the PlayStation 2 console.

  Select "Split Screen" from the main menu.

  Choose your multiplayer options. Select your players, choose the map that you want the match to take place, and choose whatever options you want. You can customize the score limit, time limit and available items.

  Start the match. The object is to kill the opposing player as many times as you can within the given score or time limit.

  Pick up and use items that are scattered throughout the map. You can find better weapons, health and armor upgrades, and more grenades. Use these items to your advantage against your opponent.

  Use shotguns for close encounters and sniper rifles to pick off your enemy from afar. Grenades can be used to weaken an enemy so you can easily finish them off with a gun.

  Use mutations to your advantage. Throughout the game, you can mutate from human to alien, each with their own unique abilities. Humans can use weapons while aliens are faster and have strong melee attacks. Mutating leaves you vulnerable and you only have 30 seconds while in mutated form, so use strategy when mutating.
