How to Transfer a PS2 Memory Card File

The Sony PlayStation 2 has two memory card slots available. Not only can you keep two PS2 memory cards in those slots, but you can also transfer save files from one memory card to another, as long as both are inserted into the console. If you wish to transfer a save file from one memory card to another, the process is simple.

Instructions

      Insert two PS2 memory cards into your PS2, and turn the PS2 on (without a disc in the disc drive).

      Select the "Browser" option in the PS2 main menu.

      Select the icon for the memory card with the file you want to copy.

      Select the save file you wish to copy with the "X" button.

      Select the "Copy" option from the menu that appears. Select the other memory card as the destination and select the "Yes" option with the "X" button.

      Press the "Circle" button when the copying process is complete to return to the PS2 browser.
