How to Play a PS2 Game Using a LAN Connection

Setting up a local area network (LAN) is an easy way to play multiplayer PlayStation 2 games--when you have more than one PlayStation 2 console in the same household, dormitory or apartment complex.   • Multiple PlayStation 2 consoles
  • 1 Ethernet cable per PlayStation 2 console
  • Router

Instructions

      Ensure all PlayStation 2 consoles are powered off.

      Connect an Ethernet cable to the network port on the back of each PlayStation 2 console.

      Connect each Ethernet cable to your router.

      Ensure that a game disc is inserted in each of the PlayStation 2 consoles and start the game.

      Locate the "LAN" or "system-link" option. You will probably find it under the ̶0;Multiplayer̶1; menu, but this will vary from game to game, so refer to your game̵7;s documentation if you need more help.
