How to Connect an Icon Wireless Controller for PS2

The Icon PS2 Wireless Controller is a third-party controller for Sony PlayStation 2. The controller is similar to Nintendo's Wavebird or Sony's own Sixaxis controller, in that it adds wireless functionality to the PlayStation 2 controller layout. This eliminates the danger of controller wires snagging the console, which can damage games. As the controller operates without cables, connecting it is a little different from the normal procedure of plugging in a PlayStation 2 controller.

     Plug the wireless receiver into the controller port of your PlayStation 2 that you wish to use the Icon controller with.

     Turn on your PlayStation 2 console. The LED on the receiver will blink, signaling the receiver is looking for a signal.

     Press the "Force Link" button on your Icon PS2 Wireless Controller and watch for the LED to stop blinking. The controller is now ready for use.
