How to Find the Gospel Ring in Dragon Quest VIII

Dragon Quest VIII for the Sony Playstation 2 is another installment of the popular role-playing game series by Square Enix. The player takes on the role of the Hero, assisting King Trode and Princess Medea in breaking the evil spell cast upon their kingdom by the villain, Dhoulmagus. Throughout the game, the Hero comes across a multitude of items that help him complete this daunting task. One of these items is the rare Gospel Ring, which can be equipped on the Hero or any of his party members. This ring grants an additional 5 Defence and the ability to avoid random encounters.

Instructions

     Locate and defeat all 295 monsters in the game. This includes all boss characters.

     Press the Start button to open the game menu and select the "Misc." tab.

   • 3

     Open the "Defeated Monster List." The Casino Fanfare sound effect will play, indicating that all 295 monsters have been defeated.

   • 4

     Press Triangle on the controller to return to the main menu. Then, select the "Item" tab.

   • 5

     Highlight the "Bag" icon at the bottom of the screen and press X to open it. The Gospel Ring will be inside and can be equipped on any member of the party.
