Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect one end of your Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port in the back of your PS2 Slim.
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an available Ethernet port on your cable modem.
Insert a PS2 memory card into a memory card slot on your PS2 and turn your PS2 on.
Insert the PS2 Networking Disc into the PS2's disc drive. This disc should come packaged with the PS2 Slim hardware. Some titles also have the software included with the games. Once the disc has been inserted to the PS2, the networking application will begin.
Select the "ISP Setup" option in the networking application's main menu.
Give your ISP connection any name you want on the next screen. Follow the prompts in accordance with your modem settings to configure your PS2 Slim to your modem. Select the "Automatic Settings" option if you wish to configure your PS2's network settings easily.
Enter the network name and password (if your network requires one) when you are prompted to enter it. Once you have done this, you will return to the main ISP settings screen with the name of your ISP connection on display. At this point, your PS2 Slim should be successfully connected to the Internet.
