Metal Gear Solid 2 Weapons

"Metal Gear Solid 2" is a popular stealth action video game made by Konami. You first control Solid Snake on a mission to uncover a plot from Revolver Ocelot. After this mission, you begin playing as Raiden, who must stop a terrorist group called the Sons of Liberty. While the game is known for its espionage-style game play, it is also known for its variety of weapons.
  1. Beretta M9

    • The Beretta M9 is one of the earlier guns to get in the game for Raiden, while Solid Snake starts off with a custom M9 on the Tanker mission. The M9 is capable of holding a 15-round magazine for standard bullets. However, the M9 Custom is modified to hold tranquilizer darts and must be slid back after each firing. Both the standard or custom Beretta M9 guns can be equipped with a silencer to suppress the noise created from gunfire.

    Kalashnikov AKS-74U

    • The Kalashnikov AKS-74U is a combat assault rifle primarily used by the Soviet soldiers during the Plant mission. The AKS-74U uses 5.45 mm bullets and has a side-folding stock capable of holding a 30-round magazine. It has average accuracy but is lightweight and portable, so it still holds its own as an assault rifle. This item is important in "Metal Gear Solid 2" as Raiden requires it to complete his disguise in the Plant mission.

    HK PSG1

    • The HK PSG1 is a semiautomatic sniper rifle known for its high accuracy and shorter time frame than other sniper rifles. It uses ammunition 7.62 mm bullets and holds a five-round magazine. This weapon is primarily used during the segment on the Plant mission, where you shoot enemy targets away from Emma Emmerich. The modified version of this sniper rifle, the PSG1-T, functions much like the modified M9, which fires tranquilizer darts at enemies.

    Nikita Remote Missle

    • The Nikita Remote Missile is a launcher capable of firing remote-guided missiles toward its target that detonate upon impact. The missiles also provide a camera view via a closed-circuit camera mounted on the warhead. While it is a commonly seen weapon in the "Metal Gear" gaming series, the Nikita Remote Missile launcher is completely fictional and has no known real-life counterpart.
