Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your PS2 Slim and disconnect any cables from the rear of the device. Then turn your PS2 over and place on a table.
Use your finger (or the tip of your Phillips screwdriver) to pop off the 10 rubber screw covers on the corners and sides of the device. Then use your screwdriver to remove all the screws. Lift the bottom housing off the PS2.
Turn your PS2 right-side up and slide the front housing off the PS2 by gently pulling it towards you. The housing will still be connected by a thick ribbon cable, so lay the housing down close enough to the PS2 to avoid putting any pressure on the cable.
Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove each screw in the four corners of the disc loading tray. This tray is located in the right side of the interior of the PS2. Lift the lid off the disc tray to reveal all of the internal components of the PS2.
Hold your can of compressed air (available from any electronics store) about 3 inches above the PS2 and spray the device liberally, making sure you cover all of it.
Replace the disc tray cover, screws, housing and bottom screws and you are done. Your PS2 Slim is fully cleaned.
