How to Get Online on a Slimline PS2 Without a Network Adapter

Unlike the larger PlayStation 2, which was eventually released with a network adapter that plugged into the back of the device, the PlayStation 2 Slim already has an ethernet cable built into it. This means that the only network adapter that you have to worry about is the router that splits your Internet connection between your PC and your PS2. If this isn't an option, there is still a simple method that can be used.

  Unplug the ethernet wire running from your modem to your PC from the PC. If this wire runs to a router, unplug it from the router side.

  Plug the cable into the ethernet port of the PlayStation 2. Make sure the system is off when it happens.

  Reset your modem. This is done by pressing a small button on the rear or bottom of the device. This process takes from 10 to 30 seconds.

  Turn your PlayStation 2 on. Your Internet will now be connected to your PlayStation 2.
