Transworld Surf
Transworld Surf was released for the PlayStation 2 on May 14, 2002. The game play is fast and smooth, allowing players to catch waves and string tricks together. Big combos are rewarded with points that can be cashed in to access new surf locations, modes and additional equipment. Multiplayer supports up to two players in game modes such as "Trick Attack," "S.U.R.F" and a variety of surfing based mini-games.
Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer
Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer was released for the PlayStation 2 on September 17, 2002. Players new the genre (or surfing in general) are eased into the game through its tutorial mode, which details the game's controls and mechanics. All of the surf environments are based off of 14 real world locations, including "Teahupoo", "Sebastian" and the world famous "Pipeline." Multiplayer support is limited to two players in competitive game modes such as "Push," "Head-to-Head" and "Time Attack."
Surfing H30
Released on October 26, 2000, Surfing H30 was the first surfing game for the PS2. At the beginning of the game, players must choose between an "Easy" or "Intermediate" level of difficulty. As players progress through the game, higher difficulty levels unlock. The locations and characters are fictional, although some characters just so happen to resemble well-known surfers. Multiplayer is very basic, offering only one competitive mode (trick attack) for up to two players.
