Disney PS2 Games

Because the video game market is largely targeted toward children and young adults, it should be no surprise that Disney has developed a ton of games based on a popular Disney movie or franchise or containing characters from the Disney universe. Some of these target the PS2 platform. The titles are designed to be kid-friendly, while containing enough game-play challenge to entertain adults as well.
  1. Kingdom Hearts

    • "Kingdom Hearts" is a collaboration between Disney and SquareEnix, the creators of the popular "Final Fantasy" series of role-playing games. In the game, players control Sora, a spikey-headed kid, as he navigates a mysterious world filled with Disney characters and environments. The game offers hours of replay value, as players strive to improve their characters' abilities and collect rare items.

    Chicken Little

    • "Chicken Little," an action-adventure Disney game developed by Buena Vista Studios, attempts to re-create events and sequences from the popular animated movie. While the game does have a narrative, the title is more focused on quick minigames than staying true to one genre. That said, the quick pick-up-and-play nature of the game will appeal to children with short attention spans.

    Bolt

    • "Bolt," the hit 2008 animated movie, follows an acting dog as he comes to realize that his television superpowers don't translate into the real world. However, in this title, all the action takes place in the TV world, meaning that Bolt retains his ability to attack, leap and swing to defeat his enemies. You also get to play as Bolt's friend Penny, whose game play is of the stealth variety, closely resembling another PS2 hit, "Metal Gear Solid."

Disney Sing It: High School Musical: Senior Year

    • "Disney Sing It," with its unwieldy title, allows players to sing their favorite "High School Musical" songs into an included PS2 microphone. Like many karaoke video games, gamers are judged on their ability to hit the right notes and stay in tune. The game features both a single-player story mode that re-creates sequences from the movies and a multiplayer mode that allows groups of gamers to perform duets and sing-offs.
