How to Rip Bgm From PS2 Games

Many Sony PlayStation video games contain background music that you may find pleasing. You may want to take this music and put it on your computer, for your personal listening pleasure. You can do this by ̶0;ripping," which essentially transfers files from a disc to your computer hard drive. To facilitate this process, you will need special software, for example, ADXUtil, which is designed for this very task for your PS2 game.

Instructions

      Download ̶0;ADXUtil (see resource below) and install the software onto your computer.

      Ensure that your PS2 game is formatted with ADX audio. You can check the back of the game cover or view the game opening loading screen to determine whether it is ADX audio formatted.

      Insert the PS2 game disc into your computer DVD disc drive. Do not put the disc into the compter DVD burner, only the drive.

      Run the ADXUtil program by double clicking on its icon.

      Select the ̶0;Open Archive̶1; option under the ̶0;Files̶1; tab in the ADXUtil program.

      Click the ̶0;Start̶1; tab located in the lower left portion of the desktop and click on the ̶0;My Computer̶1; then click your disc drive where your PS2 disc is located.

      Browse for the sound files in the PS2 disc. Locate the sound files that have ADX and click on them.

      Allow ADXutil to load all of the sound files and search for the music files that you want to rip.

      Click on the ̶0;Extract to folder̶1; button under the ̶0;Commands̶1; tab to rip your song file to your hard drive.
