Urban Chaos: Riot Response
In "Urban Chaos: Riot Response" you take on the role of a cop trying to stop gangs from overrunning the streets of New York City after a terrorist attack. The game plays as a fast-paced first person shooter and you̵7;ll have a range of guns and grenades at your disposal to take out the gang members. As a cop game, you̵7;ll also be expected to make arrests by using a taser to stun the gang members. Throughout the game̵7;s 18 missions you̵7;ll be able to unlock new weapons by completing certain special tasks. For instance, one level might challenge you to make 15 headshots during the mission while another will ask you to make 10 arrests.
Virtua Cop Rebirth
You̵7;ll recognize this game if you̵7;ve ever tried the Virtua Cop light-gun arcade games. "Virtua Cop Rebirth" combines all the missions of "Virtua Cop" and "Virtua Cop Two" plus an added graphical upgrade and a few extra modes. It̵7;s an on-rails shooter, so the camera will move throughout the levels while you only have to worry about shooting criminals and reloading your weapon. You can play the game with the PlayStation 2 controller or with a light gun peripheral. Extra modes include exercise mode, versus mode and a ranking high score feature. Exercise mode has you take on targets in a shooting gallery to earn a high score while versus mode has you compete with a friend to see who can take out the most enemies.
Dead to Rights
"Dead to Rights" takes an over-the-shoulder third person perspective. You̵7;ll play as K9 cop Jack Slate whose father̵7;s just been murdered. Through the course of the game you̵7;ll investigate his murder, take out scores of criminal and uncover several plot twists. The game provides you with an array of over-the-top weapons such as grenade launchers and powerful shotguns, plus you̵7;ll be able to use your K9 partner in several missions, both as a fellow combatant and as a way of solving puzzles. In several instances you̵7;ll be able to enter bullet time, where the action slows down so you can perform elaborate grappling moves to disarm your opponents.
