Turn off the equipment and locate the Ethernet port on the back of the PS2 game console. The jack resembles a telephone jack, only slightly wider.
Insert the plug on one end of the Ethernet cord into the jack on the PS2. Press the plug straight in with the flexible tab on top until it clicks in place.
Plug the other end of the cable into a free Ethernet port on the computer.
Turn on the PS2 and press the "Menu" button on the controller, then use the arrow keys to scroll to "Network Settings" and choose "Ethernet," then press the "X" button on the right-hand side of the controller.
