How to Hook up a Playstation 2 to My Symphonic TV

Unlike current-generation consoles, which support a variety of high definition connections, the PlayStation 2 has but two: AV cables and an RF adaptor for older television sets. Almost all Symphonic TVs include AV connections, meaning that hooking up the PlayStation 2 is simple.

  Rest the PlayStation 2 on a flat surface near the TV. Make sure the PS2 is close enough to the TV that the AV cables reach and the PS2 can be plugged into a power outlet.

  Connect the AV Multi-Out (the flat end of the AV cable) to the PS2's corresponding AV slot.

  Locate the AV plugs on your TV set. While many sets will have these on the back of the television, some models have additional plugs on the side or front of the device.

  Plug the AV prongs into their corresponding plugs in the TV set. The yellow prong goes into the yellow plug, red into red and white into white.

  Change the channel on your TV to its proper Video Out channel and turn your PlayStation 2 on to ensure you hooked it up properly.
