How to Install a Multitap for PS2

The PlayStation 2 comes with two controller ports. Some PS2 games, however, support more than two players. The PS2 Multitap allows you to connect up to 8 controllers to a single PS2. For the games that support it, up to 8 players can play simultaneously on one screen. Support for the Multitap is most common in sports games. Other third party peripherals (such as steering wheels) can also be connected to the Mulitap.

     Turn the PS2 off.

   • 2

     Connect the Multitap into the Player 1 controller slot.

   • 3

     Connect the first player controller into port A of the Multitap.

   • 4

     Connect any additional controllers or memory cards to the remaining ports on the Multitap.

   • 5

     Turn the PS2 on. Navigate as you normally would using the controller in port A.
