Instructions
Obtain a copy of the PCSX2 emulator by visiting the PCSX2 homepage at pcsx2.net and heading to the download page. From there, you can pick which version you wish to install depending on the operating system you are running. Install the emulator and load it up from the "Start" menu. Linux users will need to follow the instructions laid out in the checkout section and then type "sh build.sh all" to compile the plug-ins. Place the PS2 BIOS file in the "bios" folder in the installed or unpacked folder.
Set the various options indicated in the configuration panel that opens when you launch the emulator for the first time. Configure the first controller by clicking "Configure" under "First Controller" and start mapping out keys or gamepad buttons if you decide to use one. Repeat the step with the second controller if you plan to play with someone else. Also configure the Cdvdrom if you are going to play the PS2 game by inserting a game DVD. Click the "Configure" button under Cdvdrom and set the drive letter where you want the game to be placed. Ensure that the BIOS dropdown menu has the BIOS that you acquired as it is needed to play any game. Click the "OK" button to proceed to the main screen.
Insert the game DVD to the drive where you set it. Click the "Run" menu in the menu bar and select "Execute" to play the game.
