How to Fix My PS2 Memory Card

The PlayStation 2 memory card can save up to 8MB (megabytes) of data, in addition to having MagicGate encryption. The PlayStation 2 memory device saves vital gaming information, such as game difficulty, custom controller settings, game progress, hidden and custom characters, controller settings and customized weapons. A PS2 memory card can experience errors that make it unusable. One of these common errors is known as a corruption. Corruptions can occur if you remove the memory card while the console is accessing information or turning off the console while it is attempting to access information. Also, games saved while using a cheat code can lead to memory card corruptions.
