Delete Corrupt Files
Place the PlayStation memory card into the memory card slot, above controller one, in the game console.
Ensure that there is not a DVD, CD or game disc in the system, then press the button on the back of the PlayStation 2 system to turn on the console.
Press the "X" button on the game controller, selecting the "Browser" option in the main menu.
Choose the memory card icon.
Highlight the files that are corrupted and you want to erase from the memory card. Select "Delete."
If this does not work, your only option would be to reformat the PS2 memory card.
Reformat Memory Card
Insert the Memory Manager Plus disc into the PlayStation 2 game console. Make sure that your corrupted card is in the system when you boot it up.
Move to the Options menu (left arrow).
Press all four shoulder buttons ("L1," "L2," "R1" and "R2") simultaneously on your controller.
Choose to reformat your card and erase all data when the prompt appears.
