How to Use a Multiplayer Adapter for PS2

A PlayStation 2 multiplayer adapter (multitap) makes it possible for additional players to join a video game. This way you can play a four-player game with human players instead of computer generated players. The multitap can also allow additional memory cards to be used at once. This device can be useful at parties where many people may want to use a single system or in a household with an abundance of gamers.

PS2 Multitap

  Push the multitap adapter into the PlayStation 2 (PS2) controller slot like you would with a regular controller. Plug in the controllers.

  Insert a game with a four-player option. You should now be able to play the game with four players.

  Manipulate more than two memory cards by inserting the memory cards into the memory card slots on either the PS2 console or the PS2 multitap. If there is a game inside of the disk tray, remove it.

  Power on your PlayStation 2 and wait for the starting screen to navigate you to a screen with two options: System Configuration and Browser. Select Browser. You will now see the memory cards appear on the screen.
