How to Transfer Data From a PC to a PS2

Some video games players don't have either the desire or money to upgrade to the Playstation 3 and/or XBOX 360. Those individuals don't necessarily need to play outdated video games. You can find websites that offer updated rosters for your favorite PS2 sports games and downloadable codes for your action games. Once you download these files to your PC, you will then need to transfer them to your PS2. Here is how the transfer process works.

Things You'll Need

  • Action Replay max drive
  • PS2 memory card

Instructions

    • 1

Begin by purchasing the Action Replay max drive for the PS2. This is necessary for transferring files from your PC to your PS2.

    • 2

Turn your PC on and plug the Action Replay flash drive into one of the USB ports. Then, open "My Computer." You will see the Action Replay listed in the "E" drive.

    • 3

Go to the file on your PC that you want to transfer. Then, drag that file over to the "E" drive. You can also use the copy and paste method. Once you have done this, you can unplug the flash drive.

    • 4

Insert the "Action Replay" CD into your PS2, plug the Action Replay flash drive into the USB port of your PS2 and insert a memory card into one of the memory card slots on your PS2.

    • 5

Turn on the PS2. After the device turns on, highlight and select the "My Devices" option. Then, highlight and select the flash drive.

    • 6

Look for the file that you transferred from your computer to the flash drive. Select that file and choose "Uncrush to Memory Card." When that process is completed, return to the "My Devices" screen.

    • 7

Highlight and select your memory card. The file should then be saved onto the memory card. From there, you can upload any game saves, roster or other data while playing a PS2 game.
