How to Hook a PS2 Up to a Laptop

If you want to make videos of your gaming expertise to show off to the world on YouTube or copy games to disks, you'll need to connect your PS2 to a computer. Many gamers who make this connection complain that there is a delayed reaction between the time they make a command via the PS2 controller and the time when the character makes a move. Adaptec's GameBridge boasts that there is no delayed reaction with their product, and installing it is a simple procedure that will get you gaming on your computer in minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Put the PS2 beside the laptop so that the video and audio ports on each system are in close proximity to each other. You don't want a mess of wires all over the place.

    • 2

Plug the USB adapter into the GameBridge device.

    • 3

Plug the female AV wires into the GameBridge device.

    • 4

Plug the male AV wires into the appropriate ports on the PS2. Plug the red lead into the red port, the white lead into the white port and the yellow lead into the yellow port.

    • 5

Plug the male AV wires from the PS2 into the female AV wires from the GameBridge. Again, plug each lead into the port of the corresponding color.

    • 6

Plug the USB adapter into the USB port on the laptop.

    • 7

Insert the GameBridge setup disk and follow the directions in the Installation Wizard. This will complete the hookup of a PS2 to a laptop.
