How to Copy PS2 Games on a Mac

If you have a PS2, you may want to back up your PS2 games by making copies of them. Having a backup is a good idea in case something happens to the original game disk, like it gets broken or scratched beyond repair. If you have a backup, you don't need to buy a new one. This is easy for PC users, but it is also possible for Mac users as long as you have the right software.

Things You'll Need

  • PS2 games
  • A Mac with a Superdrive
  • Toast Titanium 9
  • DVD-R disk

Instructions

    • 1

Download Toast Titanium 9. You will need this program in order to rip the PS2 games from their original disks.

    • 2

Put in the PS2 game you want to copy into your computer's Superdrive.

    • 3

Open Toast Titanium 9 and click on "Disk Copy." This will copy the game from the game disk onto your computer.

    • 4

Burn the game onto a DVD-R (preferably with a blue disk read side) on 1x speed. This will take an hour or more, but it will ensure that your burn doesn't get ruined.

    • 5

Remove the DVD-R from your Superdrive and label. Now you have a copied PS2 game à la Mac.
