How to Quickly Pass the Beginning of Macalania Cloister of Trials in Final Fantasy X

There's been some unpleasantness at Macalania Temple, and although you had it easy on the way in, you have to pass the Cloister of Trials on your way out. Settle in, this one is a bit repetitive. Here's how to quickly pass the Cloisters of Trials at Macalania Temple in Final Fantasy X:

Instructions

  Defeat Seymour, then head back the way you came.

  Head down the ramp and find the pedestal.

  Push the pedestal to the right and into the ice.
- 4
  Head to your right and retrieve the Macalania Sphere from the wall.
- 5
  Insert the Macalania Sphere into the pedestal, then push it up toward the far wall to break the ice.

  Take the Glyph Sphere from the central pillar and head down the ramp you just opened.

  Insert the Glyph Sphere in the far left spot in the wall. This opens a pillar with another Macalania Sphere.

  Head back upstairs and hit the flashing beacon on the floor to retrieve the pedestal.

  Take the Macalania Sphere from the pillar you just raised and stick it back into the wall, rebuilding the ice near the pedestal.

  Push the pedestal into the ice, then retrieve the Macalania Sphere from the wall and put it in the pedestal.

  Push the pedestal back down the ramp (getting bored yet?), then push it to the right, reforming the bridge.

  Head back up and pull the Macalania Sphere from the slot by the ramp. This will dissolve the ramp, but that's OK.

  Put the Macalania Sphere in the final pillar, reforming the rest of the bridge. You should get a chime and a view of a beacon being uncovered.

  Head up the ramp and touch the beacon.

  Push the pedestal back down the ramp. This will shoot it to the right and give it the Destruction Sphere. Take five and come back for the second half of Macalania.
