How to Hit Hades in Kingdom Hearts II

In "Kingdom Hearts II," Sora and his friends journey to the Underworld to help Hercules defeat the wicked Hades. As the god of the Underworld, Hades is normally invincible, so your attacks won't do any damage at first. Hades only becomes vulnerable after Hercules joins the fray. You can use the Aura Spheres that Hercules drops to stun Hades and damage him.

Instructions

    • 1

Dodge Hades' attacks when the battle begins. He's invincible now, so your attacks won't damage him. When Hercules arrives, Hades becomes vulnerable to damage.

    • 2

Attack Hades with your Keyblade. After he takes enough damage, he'll lose his temper and turn red. When he's red, Hades becomes invincible again.

    • 3

Run up to one of the Aura Spheres that Hercules drops on the field. Press "Triangle" to shoot the Aura Spheres at Hades and make him vulnerable.

    • 4

Continue attacking with the Keyblade. Hades will warp around the room occasionally. Follow him and keep attacking.

    • 5

Move out of the way when a circle of flames appears around Hades. If you don't move fast enough, you'll get caught in an explosion of fire. After this attack, Hades will be invincible again, so strike him with another Aura Sphere.

    • 6

Dodge the flames that fall from the sky when Hades summons a giant fireball overhead.

    • 7

Use a Limit Command to severely damage Hades. To perform a Limit Command, press "Left" on the directional pad and then select "Limit." Choose a Limit and press "X" to perform it.

    • 8

Continue using your regular attacks and Limit Commands until you defeat Hades.
