How to Get Past the Saw Blades in God of War

Rotating Blade Logs

  Climb the raised platforms at the beginning of the Hades level. Kill the legionnaire enemies on the top platform. When you've defeated them all, approach the rotating log.

  Step on the rotating log. Push the left analog stick forward to cross the log. Tap the stick left or right to keep your balance.

  Walk toward the first set of blades. Wait for the blades to slow down and then walk through the large gap between them. Do this for each set of blades.

  Head left at the first branching path and then go right at the next branch to reach the end of the log.

Rotating Blade Column

  Kill all the minotaurs and archers at the base of the rotating column. Once you've defeated all the enemies, the barrier blocking the column will disappear.

  Touch the column to latch on and push the left analog stick up to begin climbing it.

  Watch for gaps in the blades as the column rotates. Move quickly through the gaps to avoid getting hit by a blade. As you climb, move against the column's rotation. For example, if the column rotates left, you should go right. This gives you more control over your movement.

  Press "X" to jump up the column if you don't see any blades overhead. Jumping enables you to climb faster, but it's more difficult to control. You'll fall down to the base of the column if you touch a blade. Falling down won't kill you unless you have very little health left.

  Press "X" as soon as you reach the top of the column to climb up before a blade hits you. Continue to the second column.

  Climb the second column using the same strategy as before. This column moves slightly faster and has more blades to avoid.
