Special Fatalities for Different Characters in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for PS2

"Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" ("MK:A") is the seventh game in the popular fighting game series developed by Midway. The game features 62 combatants, more than any other game in the series. Finishing moves in "MK:A" are handled differently than in previous games, as fighters in different categories have access to varying moves. In addition to standard fighters, there are four special character classifications that feature unique finishing moves. When you play as these characters, you can use these moves to deal special fatalities to your foes.

Sword-Wielding Fighters
- There are ten characters in "MK:A" who can wield a sword. These fighters have access to special finishing moves involving a blade. Slice your foe's head off by pressing "Forward, Forward, Circle." Press "Up, Down, Up, Circle" when your opponent is on his knees to perform an execution. Stab your enemy through the heart from behind by pressing "Forward, Forward, Circle." When your adversary is lying on the ground, press "Forward, Forward, Circle" to stab your sword into his or her head.
Short Sword Wielding Fighters
- The four characters who carry a short sword have similar finishing moves to those that carry long swords. Impale your foe in the abdomen by pressing "Up, Down, Up, Triangle." Stab your sword into the head of your opponent by pressing "Up, Up, X." Press "Down, Back, X" to knock your enemy down, then press "Up, Up, Circle" to perform a decapitation. Press "Forward, Forward, Circle" to rip the spine out of your adversary's back.
Axe-Wielding Fighters
- Jarek is the only character in the game who wields an axe. His special finishing moves are unique, but he can also perform the same fatalities as the standard fighters. Press "Forward, Forward, Square" to slice the left arm off your opponent. Press "Forward, Forward, X" to slice the right arm off your opponent. Cut off your foe's head by pressing "Forward, Forward, Circle." Press "Up, Up, Triangle" to stick your axe into the head of your adversary, then press "Forward, Back, Circle" to chop her in half.
Giant Fighters
- There are five giant characters in the game who can perform completely unique finishing moves at the end of a fight. Press "Forward, Forward, Circle" to punch your foe in half. Press "Back, Back, Circle" to uppercut your opponent's head off. Press "Up, Up, Circle" to crush the skull of your enemy. Press "Down, Up, Circle" to kick the head off of your foe's shoulders. Press "Forward, Back, Circle" to explode your opponent into tiny pieces.
