Clan Centurio
In "Final Fantasy XII" you must first join Clan Centurio to be able to accept hunt missions in the game. The headquarters for Clan Centurio are found in the North End of Rabanastre. Once joined, you can accept hunt missions by visiting call boards throughout the game world that contain notices for hunting contracts. Call boards are typically found at taverns located in different parts of the game world.
Marks
Marks are the name for hunting contracts that can be accepted in "Final Fantasy XII." Once accepted, the hunting target will appear as a red mark on your mini-map; the hunt mark will be larger than the red mark found for smaller enemies on the map. Marks are harder to complete than defeating traditional enemies.
Bounty
When you complete a mark contract, you typically receive a bounty after the battle consisting of both money, or gil, and a couple items. The more difficult the mark, the higher the bounty that you receive for defeating it. For example, the mark mission Rodeo to the Death, which requires you to defeat Braegh in the Mosphoran Highwaste, pays 1,700 gil as well as an Obelisk and a High Ether. By contrast, the hunt contract for Roblon in the Nalbina Fortress awards 3,100 gil, a Giant's Helmet and a Mythril upon completion because of the higher difficulty level.
Elite Marks
After the series of regular mark quests are complete, you can choose to accept hunt contracts known as elite marks. These contracts are much more difficult to complete, pay more in bounty and can only be accepted by talking to Montblanc, the leader of Clan Centurio, at the clan's headquarters. Monsters defeated through these hunt contracts include Antlion, Gilgamesh, Enkidu, Behemoth King and Ixion.
