How to Get All the Packs Unlocked in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny for PS2

"Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny," a card-based role-playing game for the PlayStation 2, is based on the "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" anime series. In the game, players must partner with a character to compete in 2v2 card battles using a deck of cards. Additional cards are able to be used by purchasing booster packs; a package of cards used to bolster your deck by adding new and powerful spells and monsters to it. In "The Beginning of Destiny," there are four booster packs available to purchase at the beginning of the game, with an additional 44 booster packs able to be unlocked by performing in-game requirements.

Instructions

  Play through the "Story" mode to unlock 16 of the available booster packs, such as "Emergent Fire" or "Platinum Light." Some packs require that you play through the story while partnered with a specific character while some packs are unlocked just by completing story-based events.

  Unlock the "Anti-Effect," "Life Breaker" and "Go Go Effect" booster packs by owning 80 percent of the cards found in the "First Effect Monsters," "Step Up Spell-Trap" and "Step Up Fusion" booster packs.

  Unlock nine booster packs by raising your player level, up to a maximum of 50. You earn one booster pack for every five levels. Raise your player level by winning duels against other players.

  Unlock the "Cold Skin" booster pack by owning 50 percent of all of the cards found in the game, and the "Checkered Flag" booster pack by owning 90 percent of all of the cards.

  Unlock the "Wave of the Future" booster pack by winning 10 consecutive duels. Alternatively, lose 10 consecutive duels to unlock the "Good Ol' Days" booster pack.

  Obtain the Golden Egg Sandwich in the cafeteria's "Sandwich Roulette" mini-game to unlock the "Double Triple Destiny Draw" booster pack.

  Obtain a high relationship with each of the main characters in the story mode, such as Jaden or Zane, to unlock a booster pack for each character this is performed with -- up to seven booster packs total for each of the seven characters. You can raise your relationship with a specific character by selecting the right conversation option while speaking to them and giving them gifts, such as sandwiches.

  Enter the following code at the shop to unlock the "Midday Constellation" booster pack: "Up," "Up," "Down," "Down," "Left," "Right," "Left," "Right," "X" and "Circle."
