Things You'll Need
Instructions
Play PlayStation software on your PlayStation 2. Since the PlayStation 2 features backward compatibility, you can play your old PlayStation games in your PlayStation 2 console. Simply insert the PlayStation game of your choosing into the console's disc tray, close the tray and allow your PlayStation 2 to load the disc.
Use PlayStation controller to play games on your PlayStation 2. You can use your PlayStation controllers to play both PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games on your new console. Firmly insert the end of the controller you wish to use into one of the console's controller ports to hook up the aforementioned peripheral.
Save your game data on PlayStation memory cards. Insert the memory card you wish to use into one of your PlayStation 2's memory card slots. Keep in mind, however, that when inserted in a PlayStation 2 console, PlayStation memory cards can only be used to store PlayStation game data.
