How to Pass the Moonbase Room in Ratchet & Clank

The Gemlik Moonbase in "Ratchet & Clank" for the Sony PlayStation 2 is a level near the center of the game. At the end of the level, players fight Qwark, who shoots missiles from a small ship. The clash with Qwark is one of the longest boss battles in the game, but with some strategic use of your weapons, you will defeat him and move on to the next level.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk through the first few sections of the Gemlik Moonbase. Press "Square" to attack all the crates and anybody you see; everyone you encounter is an enemy.

  Press "X" to jump up to the bunker from which the gunners are shooting at you. Move to the left of the stage.

  Press "Circle" to select the canon. Press "Square" to shoot the gunners out of their positions.

  Proceed through the level, and destroy all the boxes and enemies you encounter along the way.

  Enter the elevator, which takes you to Qwark.

  Select your gun and shoot the missiles Qwark launches at you, or simply move around to evade them.

  Shoot at one of Qwark's engines until you destroy it. He will then deploy mines.
- 8
  Destroy another engine. Qwark will then launch missiles at you again. Shoot him some more, and he will send small ships to attack you. Take them out with your gun.
- 9
  Select your missiles and shoot them at Qwark to destroy him.
