Load a saved game and enter the Bazaar for some dealing. Use the collected items menu that pops up when the game is paused and search your inventory; you'll need to already possess 10 regular Arcana, one Feystone and one Soul of Thamasa.
Continue playing until you have these needed items. Generally speaking, these items aren't hard to come by. They are often dropped by inattentive monsters, and you can steal them from passersby on the plains. If you already have the Canopic Jar, monsters will drop Arcana regularly. Feystones can be stolen from any Entite lightning ball and Soul of Thamasa is dropped by Oversouls.
Make your way back to the Bazaar once you've collected the necessary items. Sell the necessary amounts to the merchant. Exit the Bazaar and talk to Montblanc, whom you'll find on your map. On your way to him, randomly steal Espers from throughout the city, but you'll really only need four.
Continue playing until you automatically reach the Clan Centurio rank. By doing the above as well as other tasks, chances are you're almost there, as this rank is easy to attain. Try taking out some weak monsters in the hillsides to gain the extra experience if need be, which will aid in unlocking the rank.
Trail larger monsters in and around the city and watch them carefully; after a bit, most of them will begin to drop High Arcana that you can snatch up. After collecting three of them, you can reenter the Bazaar and trade the rare items for Tournesol, considered the most powerful weapon in the game.
